In November 2022, Biogas Development’s subsidiary entered into an agreement with the City of Corsicana to design, build, own and operate a Gas Collection and Control System (“GCCS”) and a renewable natural gas (“RNG”) production facility. The facility will be located near the City’s landfill and will optimize the usage of biogas emitted from both the City’s landfill and its neighboring wastewater reclamation center (“WWRC”). The project is envisioned to have a 30+ year economic useful life and is intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the region while providing a new source of revenue to the City. The Corsicana project is scheduled to begin construction in Q4 2023, with a 15-month construction timeline.
