Max Vernier
Chief Financial Officer
- Leads corporate and project finance, capital raising efforts, and treasury management
- 10 years of experience in banking and project finance, formerly a SVP with Live Oak Bank, starting a lending division focused on energy transition, sustainable infrastructure, and bioenergy/biofuels
- $2B of transaction experience in renewable energy involved with debt (loans and bonds), equity, tax equity, grants, and other types of financing
- Current Managing Partner in Virentis Advisors - consultant and capital advisor
- Current member of the Board of Directors of American Biogas Council and the Alternative Fuels & Chemicals Coalition
Avery Duckwall
Chief Development Officer
- Leads construction and project management.
- 9 years of construction risk mitigation and banking experience as a VP at Live Oak Bank.
- $2B of asset management for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects such as anaerobic digestion, composting, landfill gas, municipal wastewater treatment, waste de-packaging facilities, agroforestry, bio-based product manufacturing, and utility scale solar.
Vance Kemler
Chief Resource Officer
- Leads feedstock analysis and optimization with decades of anaerobic digestion experience and background in zoology
- 30+ years in the waste sector: oversaw Waste Management, Galveston, Lubbock, Denton, Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority operations
- Nationally acclaimed best practices leader – received Distinguished Achievement Award from the Solid Waste Association of North America
- Published and implemented methane utilization research with University of Texas Arlington civil engineering department
Chelsey Gettys
Executive Administrator
- Leads management of administrative functions and support of the directors with corporate and project-level operations.
- 11+ years experience in a diverse background of operations management, cybersecurity, nuclear security and safety administration.
- A robust career history that includes significant roles in local municipality governments, federal government agencies and the critical infrastructure defense sector.
